W-TECH.NET was founded in the summer of 1999 to serve as a community for administrators, engineers, consultants developers and other server-based enthusiasts . It is dedicated to virtualization solutions based on Microsoft Windows and Citrix Systems.

Marcel Venema is founder of W-TECH.NET. He lives in Lelystad, The Netherlands. He has a 11 year old daughter. His hobbies are cooking, traveling and cars especially the Volkswagen Karmann Ghia and the Porsche Speedster. With more than 19 years IT experience Marcel worked for several consulting companies. At this moment he is working at ConoScenza as an senior architect, technical consultant and Citrix, Microsoft and RES Software trainer. In this role he is responsible for implementing ICT infrastructures based on Microsoft, Citrix and RES Software technologies.
