Connectify.me is a free software based solution that turns your internet connection into a Wi-Fi router. Works on Win7 and I can definitively recommend it. On my last business trip I was in a foreign hotel room with an internet access charge of $20 a day. I used Connectify.me to turn my notebook into a wifi hotspot and sync my phone and iPad with it.

A word of warning when selecting the HP EliteBook 8440P for use with the upcoming Citrix XenClient bare-metal client hypervisor. The current beta software only works with the integrated Intel graphic chipset, not with the Nvidia chipset !
